Too much too soon!

So many things have been happening since the start of February.
And at the same time, not much of anything...

  • I made my first sale on Etsy :)
  • Completely cleaned out my closet along with my mothers and sisters closets.
  • Began spring cleaning (actually I 'spring clean' almost every other month, but I skipped December so February was overdue!)
  • Had no internet for about 10 days eeeek!
  • Having the bathroom remodeled. Turns out we have asbestos! YIKES!
  • MASSIVE grocery shopping with my mother - but we're about that frugal life so we're not broke. lol Thank the Lord for coupons!
  • Still on the hunt for a jay-oh-bee (job)
  • My sleep schedule is completely out of whack! Most days I'm asleep through daylight hours and wide awake at night. My new bedtime? 7 a.m. =/
  • I've been going coocoobananas with DIY projects! I need something to keep me sane with all that's been gong on in my personal life these past few months. My sewing machine has never gotten so much frequent use as it has the last 6 or so months. (Okay, so technically it's my mothers... but seeing as how she never uses it I have claimed it as my own MUAHAHA >;] )

Anyhoo, there's much more detail coming soon.

2 Valentines Day outfit options

As usual, I get to be my very own Valentine this year :D
So I'm taking the day to pamper myself, eat absurd amounts of candy, and go out on my own like a BOSS!
If you don't love yourself, how can you expect anybody else to?

Anyway, I got all dolled up for myself and started with one outfit... but the indecisive side of my changed my mind about an hour later lol. SO I decided to blog about it just because.

Fresh pin curls make me so happy!
BTW I've been listening to this song all morning. And seeing as how I have found myself some flowers it's very much appropriate.

Enjoy! And Happy Valentines Day!<3

A little bit of vintage and a whole 'lotta girly!

Since my pin curls were still lookin good from yesterday I decided today to keep the vintage thang going.
I made a dress a few weeks ago and hadn't had the chance to wear it out yet. It's sleeveless but I wanted to cover up so I tied an olive green shirt at my waist. The top is thin enough that it's comfortable in this nice weather but without being sheer at all. BTW olive is great if you have darker colored eyes, it really brings 'em out.
I have in my hair my favorite hair flower! I just hot glued it onto a plain hair clip. Really easy.
And to wrap it up my bow wedge sandals (which I am obsessed with) were a gift last year for my birthday from my sweet sister :)

Lovely vintage dress find

While making my usual rounds at the local thrift store this week I found this little gem hiding on the rack!
The sun is so bright that you can't clearly see, but there are vertical stripes all over outlined with rainbow thread.
How cool is that?! But that's not even the best part...
It fits me perfectly.
The only thing is that I feel the buttons/neckline make me feel like a doctor or nurse.
Oh, and there is NO lining. Eeek!
No me gusta nada.
For now I will leave it as-is, but eventually I'll alter it.

Flower child

I learned that it's inappropriate to wear a flower headband to church.

Oops.

Feelin' like rainbow stripe gum!!

I'm not one to wear bright colors, but this dress is so much fun to wear!
These earrings were given to me by my manager last year. She was always so kind to me.
Since then she's moved all the way out to Tennesee!! WUT
My hair has grown out so much... but I don't think I'll dye it again anytime soon.
It's whatevs.
